What is CSR?
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) refers to voluntary activities undertaken by a company to operate in an economic, social, and environmentally sustainable manner. CSR goes beyond profit-making — it asks businesses to consider their impact on society and the environment.
What is PSR?
Personal Social Responsibility (PSR) is the individual counterpart to CSR. It refers to the ethical obligations and voluntary actions that each person takes to contribute positively to society. At Prashamsa Foundation, we strongly believe that social responsibilities are more important than personal responsibilities.
Why Both Matter
A golden society cannot be built by corporations alone, nor by individuals alone. True transformation happens when both CSR and PSR work in tandem:
- Corporations use CSR to invest in community programs, environmental initiatives, and social welfare.
- Individuals use PSR to take ownership of their role in community development.
Prashamsa Foundation's Role
We drive awareness of both PSR and CSR through workshops, events, and community programs. By engaging both individuals and organizations, we create a multiplier effect — where each person and each company that embraces social responsibility inspires others to do the same.
Our mantra — "Joy of Giving and Art of Giving" — captures this spirit beautifully. Giving is not just a transaction; it is an art form that creates joy for both the giver and the receiver.
